Update From the Elland League  and Senior Ladies 30/06/2020

DUE TO THE LATEST GUIDELINES FROM THE BCGBA DATED 27TH JUNE, IT HAS BEEN DECIDED TO CANCEL ANY THOUGHTS OF RUNNING ANY LEAGUE THIS SEASON. I AM EXTREMELY SORRY AND DISAPPOINTED TO HAVE GIVEN HOPE TO BOWLERS, BUT THESE ARE DIFFICULT TIMES AND WE MUST OBEY THE GOVERNING BODY.

Halifax Senior Ladies have also decided they will be unable to organise a fixtures this season.

GREENS OPEN TO PLAY

FOLLOWING THIS ADVICE FROM MONDAY 18th MAY THE GREENS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR BOWLING

The Club and other facilities will remain close.

The greens can now be accessed via an online booking system.

The system is monitored by Lynda Canning. Please Phone 07731715945 between 9am and 10am to obtain the password to enable bookings and cancellations to be organised. This is to facilitate 'Track and Trace' and a requirement of accessing the greens.

The slots will start from 10.00 and finish at 17.00 for closure @ 18.00.

Three games will be allowed on each green, hourly slots must be booked. A game consists of 1 or 2 people only.

Everyone must unlock and lock the outer gates, It must remain locked whilst bowling, gloves must be worn for this.

Keys are available from Ray Clegg @ £4.00, please phone 07780730530 to organise if required.

Members are advised to use their own jack whilst playing

GUIDANCE FOR INDIVIDUALS: FROM THE BRITISH CROWN GREEN BOWLING ASSOCIATION

• Only use your equipment brought from home (jacks, mats, bowls etc.)• Sterilize equipment before and after use

• Keep strict social distancing measures in place -you must remain at a safe distance (2 metres) from people outside of your household

• Follow strong hygiene practices at every opportunity -wash your hands when you get home• You must have permission from your club to use the green

• Your club will have an agreed process for you to agree a time for you to access the green• Once you have completed your session, please depart as soon as you safely can to enable others to access the green.

• You may only play on green if you are a member of the club:

• Do not enter clubhouse, or any facility which is part of the club (including toilets)

• Do not use club equipment

• Do not organise any competitive bowls

.• Do not turn up at the green without prior agreement from your club

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT:

• Being careful about touching solid surfaces e.g. gates, seating, doors, etc.

• Wash your hands as soon as you get home, avoid touching your face and take hand sanitiser with you to use while out if possible
